Most of you have been around here a lot longer than I have, but I'm just working my way around the old messages
(am learning a lot - we all go through the same stuff, seems to never end, just the user names change, people disappear without explaining their final results, sigh!)...
And I just saw something from many months ago that was interesting to me, for several reasons:
1. I wouldn't have clicked on this normally, because it is about angular cheilitis, and I don't have angular cheilitis (corners of mouth), I have an -itis/-osis that is on my whole bottom lip EXCEPT for the corners of the lips, which thank goodness are so far not affected by the lip weirdness that I have.
2. In my flaking-lip researches before I found this forum, over and over on the internet I saw the badly-spelled, strange-seeming offers of an e-book that would supposedly heal angular cheilitis immediately. I wasn't interested in buying the e-book because I don't have angular cheilitis specifically, and also I think that anything simple and effective should just be shared and not made a LOT of money out of. But, if the advice were free, I would have read the information to see what the cure was.
3. Apparently, a poster here about a year and a half ago shared that "cure" from the e-book, which he had known about for 5 years previously without sharing it, and felt it was about time to make it public.
4. The "cure" is brought about by... using Palmolive dish soap. I don't know if a lot of the newer folks who are trying the dish soap method these days actually know that it was the angular cheilitis e-book "cure" too. I don't think that proves anything, but I just thought it was curious. From this old discussion thread, it sounds like it did work for some people who had angular cheilitis.

If this is really old hat, and common knowledge to everyone here but me, sorry!
