Okay so can someone clear this up for me. I have people.. doctors especially MDs, swearing by these products made by Pharmanex/Nuskin. They are preaching it to me like it saved their lives and yes, the company has a ton of research done by Ph.D and has the M.D. stamp of approval which is why I think many people believe it but can anyone tell me whether or not the ingredients are safe, particularly the vitamin A levels of this multivitamin?
These are the ingredients in the LIFEPAK NANO (newer) multivitamin/mineral.
And you have to take TWO packets a day. One in the morning, one at night.

Judging by the levels of antioxidants and what not, it looks like it is a good supplement, especially since they use this so called "nano" technology. For instance, their CoQ10 supplement on their website only has 30mg for each capsule. WTF. CoQ10 is only absorbed about 5-10% by the body.. so either they don't know what they are doing (which I don't think is the case. They have that much research.. I refuse to believe they're that stupid).. or they actually have been using some nano technology that allows for more bioavailability.
The thing that worries me about taking this is the high levels of vitamin A per serving. It has 7500 IU in each packet, and you must take two packets daily... that's 15000 IU (83% of that is beta carotene), isnt that an insane amount for the liver to handle, especially considering most people who are taking these supplements are sick and most likely dont have the healthiest liver.
I am curious as to what HV or anyone has to say about this particular supplement. I personally am more of a believer in natural whole food sourced vitamins like New Chapter or Vitamin Code by Garden of life (which is great) and someone else mentioned Dr. mercola's whole food supplement. But I am currently seeing a doctor who does massage therapy and fascial release on me and he is breathing down my neck about how these vitamins are the BEST out there. Literally, he says its the best, its proven by doctors, and it has some crazy nano technology for high absorption and every time i see him (which is two times a week) he says i need to take them for my health. He geniunely believe in them and I know he's not trying to sell me anything because he doesn't sell them. He just said to go find them and buy them on the nuskin website.
Any thoughts?? If these vitamins suck, anyone have any good suggestions for a completely complex vitamin/mineral support? My current one is Vitamin Code by Garden of Life.
