I am seeing my naturopath today and am going to discuss this with him, but I would like your opinion on this as well. I have a long ago diagnosis (like at age 13) of PCOS. Nothing was ever brought up of it again, but I do have some of the symptoms of it, i.e. facial hair, overweight and difficult to lose weight, probable Hypothyroidism, etc. I am not sure if I ovulate every month, but I do have a period every month and I do get mid cycle fertile like cervical mucous (pull apart, stretchy).
I am 43 and my husband and I have been trying for almost 4 years to get pregnant. I just finally figured at 43 it wasn't going to happen, but we finally decided to go get some fertility testing done, as a very last ditch effort. We have both changed our diets and do not eat dairy, wheat or sugar anymore. We are trying to get rid of any candida issues we may have. We do not smoke, drink or use caffeine. We are also taking anti-parasitic/anti-fungals to rid ourselves of parasites (husband just came back from Iraq and brought back with him a parasite from there). I have fibromyalgia and bone spurs in my heels as well, so exercising is very hard for me. Other than doing what we are doing, and possibly taking Vitex and/or Red Raspberry Leaf eventually, can you recommend anything else to increase our chances of successfully conceiving and going to full term? This is basically our last shot and we want so badly to have a baby. Thank you.
