I did not know that both Mirena and Norplant were invented by the same man. It explains a lot to me, I always saw the correlation between them, but I had no idea they were both invented by Sheldon Siegal.
One of the reasons norplant was removed from the market was lawsuits about undisclosed side effects, and these SOBs turned around and did it again. They KNEW..........
I do believe I am even more pissed off, if that's possible.

Did you also know that they have a new thing coming out...I think it's called Jadelle, that is essentially the same as Norplant? By this I mean same drug in the arm.

This is a reply to # 1,512,754Yep! that one is his baby as well. I believe the Jadelle has been out in europe for some time. I think the difference with this is only that Population council is much more forthcoming about the potential side effects.

This is a reply to # 1,512,733oh sorry i thought i posted that enough. look up implanon it is just norplant condensed to one rod. when the lawsuits start flying they change their names Bayer use to be called something else.
bayer is all about the money. they don't care about us, they use the same drugs, new name, new label old research and positive reactions to drugs help them market it to people who wouldn't use it.
