I don't know if the treaty Lord Christopher Monckton is talking about is real, but the Copenhagen Conference in December he's talking about is. Lord Christopher Monckton was a adviser to good old Margret Thatcher, so I would think he knows what he's talking about.
He's saying most of the countries of the world including the U.S. will sign the United Nations Climate Change Treaty which will basically create the global government.
As you can probably tell by the name of the treaty, it's about global warming which I think most in here would agree is nothing but a lie to create more taxes, enslave the people, shut down more businesses and create more "power" over the people. CO2 is a byproduct of global warming, not the cause.
There is something similar to this UN Treaty called the Kyoto Protocol, so this adds to the possibility of the UN Treaty being real. But as you can see from this Wiki article, the US isn't buying it yet. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kyoto_Protocol

Looks like with the Kyoto Protocol, Cap and Trade, this treaty, plus the mortgage resets coming in 2010 & 2011, next year will be interesting to say the least.
