I made my very first tinctures too! Exciting isn't it?
Fenix, pat yourself on the back for a job well done, it looks like you made a bunch and you're gonna spend a lot of time shaking lol.
I ended up making 9 half gallon tinctures, 2- 80oz tinctures, which is a little over a half gallon, and 1 quart tincture. It turned out I didn't have enough Vodka. I had 3 gallons and I thought that would be enough but when things started swelling I knew I'd need more. I called my son and asked him if he would go and get me some and bring it to the house since I live so far from town, he just laughed at me and said that liquor stores aren't open on Sundays lol (shows how much I frequent liquor stores). So I started freaking out and told him I just had to have more Vodka and asked him to call all his friends and ask if they had any I could use and I would replace it. He thought that was hilarious and said he couldn't believe he heard those words coming out of my mouth. He said I sounded like I needed my Vodka fix LOLOLOLOLOL! And no, none of his friends drank Vodka. Since all the herbs are wet and a few have about an inch float I'll be okay until tomorrow when I can get some more.
I know what you mean Fenix about it being fun. I've had those jars filled and sitting on my counter for a little over a week waiting for the the new moon to get started. I was so HAPPY to finally be able to, as my husband called it, mix my potions lol! Shoot, I'm just happy looking at them now! Can't wait to try them.
Let us know how the Super Tonic tastes, I can't imagine what that must taste like lol. I have enough raw ACV to make some since I bought 7 quarts of it and used less than 2 for the tinctures but I'm not so sure I want to make it lol.
