that IS fascinating.

its been the weirdest week of my life, i think.

this happened once before, on my left hand, two very long hairs seemed to appear out of nowhere coming out of the top of my ring finger in the first segment near the knuckle. i noticed them while eating outdoors this summer. the next thing i knew they were gone. i was going to pluck them when i got home but they disappeared.

i cant even be for sure if this hair in the picture came out of mu skin or if it had threaded itself through the first few layers. it was attached and pulled out without any sensation. i didnt have a good magnifier at the time so i didnt get a good look at the site of attachment but there was a little dot there.

this was the morning after my birthday. we were all out to eat that night. i had given a few dollars to several beggars, was in barnes and noble, betsey johnsons and urban outfitters. we ate at a tuscany restaurant called brios. i had the gorgonzola lamb and a double stoli bloody mary.

looking at the fiber under a jewelers glass it definitely was doubled at the attached end. something like tying a hook onto fishing line, but not tied, just looped and fused for a length.

i am a 51yo male and i have hairs growing out of new places all the time. i pluck them when i see them and they have roots and i can feel them being pulled out. this is different. not only are they long and appear suddenly, their attachment is differrent. they really seem foreign, like non-human. but they look organic, very thin at the end.

i am wondering if these fibers are floating around kansas city. both times i was or had just been in the city. i dont think they like me. somehow i get the feeling (tin hats everyone) that they should be "growing" inwards instead of outwards but they cant get past the first few layers of skin and get turned back.

any of this make any sense to anyone?

i have a puppy with sharp teeth. he got me while playing with him.
