I have not had an ED, but I do understand (to a certain extent) the mechanism that makes people overeat.
My own suggestion would be to buy a book called "The Pleasure Trap", or watch a video by one of the authors (available free online at

I recently saw a discussion about this on another forum. One person with an ED, a man, claims he was saved by the Pleasure Trap. However another lady, who described her problem as being scary, said: "It's not just eating a batch of cookies and feeling bad. It's sitting there, eating straight out of the fridge, anything you can find, as fast as you can, hating yourself the whole time". She mentioned a book called "Overcoming Overeating: Conquer Your Obsession with Food Forever". I think she said the one I liked depressed her, because by understanding the mechanism it depressed her. Anyway her preferred one is here
http://www.amazon.com/Overcoming-Overeating-Conquer-Obsession-Forever/dp/0091.... They are both in good health now, incidentally.
For my part, an understanding of the problems of eating (which is probably different to the desire to binge) is the key to avoiding it. I don't think anyone is harmed by knowledge.
Not sure if any of this helps. If I don't get back to you it's because I don't come to crezone often these days, so good luck.
