Acne is a message from the body telling you it is overloaded with toxins and is using the skin to expel them. Most skin conditions are the result of a toxic body, quite often an overloaded liver.
One thing that is good to do is to make sure you get a lot of fibre when on UT as you want to ensure that fats are not reabsorbed into the liver via enterohepatic circulation (Enterohepatic circulation refers to the circulation of biliary acids from the liver, where they are produced and secreted in the bile, to the small intestine, where it aids in digestion of fats and other substances, back to the liver.)
This can sometimes be a problem when on UT, the added fiber will lesson the workload on the liver as it allows the liver not to have to deal with these toxins as they are pushed out of the bowel with the fiber.
