You said you weren't healed yet but your folks are big believers now.
OK... DUDE... you've got the same kind of muscular dystrophy I was diagnosed with. What is going on??? You've GOT to spill!
Do you realize there are TWO people with the same "incurable" disease- not "sorta" incurable like cancer, but "really" incurable because our doctors "got nuthin'" except steroids, narcotics, wheelchairs, a few hand pats and a pamphlet about the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon-
TWO people with MD on this forum, who have never actually met, with different life situations, that have done the SAME thing and have gotten pretty much the SAME results!!
This is HUGE!
(ok, Wings, calm down...)
HOW do you feel better? Do you feel any stronger anywhere? Do you feel like you have more energy? Maybe that you COULD work some muscles that haven't functioned as well? Are you trying to do new things? Can you lift any more weight... even in ounces, like me? Can you get up a curb? Are you better balanced? Can you do anything you couldn't do before? Is the sun shining brighter? Is your mood better? Do you think you might just LIVE? Has a fog lifted? Are you laughing more? Can you walk faster? Can you do any dance moves? Can you hug tighter?
I just want to know what's different. I am so, so, so VERY excited for you!
Ya know, when I talked to my neurologist last time, he said "let us know if you find ANYTHING that works for you... even if it's just a treatment and not a total cure, or even if it just improves your lifestyle any." With TWO of us reporting positive results, we are on our way to empirical evidence, Eurovw!
I think I'm going to cry...
Here's a little musical celebration from deep in the Heart of Texas:
Hi, wings!
Sorry, I didn't answer right away, kinda busy with work and healing. :)
I can tell you that I am not healed yet, my MD (muscular dystrophy, not medical doctor :)) didn't go away yet. BUT...
I feel much much better inside. My mood is off the charts. I have some feeling inside that I am on the right way and that I am going to be cured. That's the main thing right now.
OK, I have questions for you. HOW in the world do you do the IP and work "outside the home?" This is probably my biggest burning question about this whole deal right now.
Are you still doing the IP now? Are you going to continue?
See, here's my thinking: you can't really put any kind of a timeframe on anybody for when they can expect to see their healing miracle. Like in my case, I was swimming upstream like a little salmon for 4 months and got to see some small but marked improvements in almost all areas of my life. I did the absolute best I could. I can only imagine that if my home situation had been 100% positive, I would have seen dramatic improvements in 4 months. But I'll never know. I'm not that person any more. I can only move forward, can only be in the now. But in 30 days, you got similar results to my first 30 days. You feel like maybe you COULD be healed. And that, my dear friend, is a miracle in itself.
How long have you been diagnosed? Years, I bet. So if it takes months of hard work, would it be worth it? And if you had to stay on it, or a variation of it, for years to come, would it be worth it? Man, I sure think so.
If you get a chance, maybe this weekend or something, I think it would be really beneficial to the MD community at large if you gave us an idea of what you actually did and how you felt in the process. I know Uny and I would LOVE to hear this first chapter in your story. :)
