MoreThis is a reply to # 1,484,508Oh, I don't know...it's hard to say what it means when it is placed here out of context. However, I will say this --- generally speaking when someone "takes a lover", it is referring to an extramarital affair. If the person is unmarried and unattached and "takes a lover", it usually means that the person taking a lover isn't interested in a long-term relationship.

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,484,508I think it can be applicable to both long and short term r'ships. However, my question would be, is "lover" being used to describe purely a physical r'ship, or a psychological/emotional one as well?

If I would rather play under the sheets with a man instead of going on an outing with him, he is definitely a lover!
It is possible to connect with a lover with the mind, body and soul.
I think any man would like to be called a lover!
It seems so much less stressful than putting the boyfriend label on him.
I like the term "faithful lover." Meaning monogamy with much heat and steam, passionate!!!!!!!!!
