This may already be on the website already, if so, my bad. Just an interesting tidbit that my naturopath told me about coffee enemas. She said back during the war, either WWI or II, I not sure which. they used to give wounded soldiers
water enemas to prevent a patient from becoming septic. Apparently the nurses trying to ration their resources began recycling old coffee to use in the enemas bags. They realized those soldiers were healing twice as fast than the other soldiers! Voila, and so it began. I think that's the way the story went. Again, if this is well known in the health world sorry for repeating it. I new to this gig. Hope it was historically correct at least...
