I've read that some have had very good luck putting Aloe on eczema. This morning I saw a segment on a morning show where the interviewer was trying out different products for healthy skin. The interviewer commented that she had interviewed Christy Brinkley in the past, and Brinkley had told her that the secret to her healthy skin was olive oil (putting it on her face.) The interviewer laughed, "Now when I look at Christy Brinkley, I think, wow, that olive oil is really working for you!"

This got me to thinking. I've had very good luck with Doctor's Defense, which is a moisturizing cream with Chinese herbs; Ojon, which is a palm oil from the Ojon tree in South America; and Benadryl, which has zinc in it. Two of these products deeply moisturize (the Doctors Defense and Ojon.) That's when I began to realize the importance of deeply moisturizing eczema prone skin, along with using a zinc protective cream. (Zinc is also very good for the skin.) I've always known to use moisturizers, but the ones that have really helped aren't the over-the-counter products, but products made from deeply moisturizing natural herbs and oils.

One problem I have is that after an eczema outbreak gets well, my skin is still very thin, so the same skin is subject to more eczema problems if it gets irritated or rubbed. These products may help to create a protective layer between the outside world and the thinner skin caused by an eczema outbreak, which hopefully gives the skin more time to heal. So, there really may be something to Aloe (and olive oil) working, too.
