Great post, Chris! I would also opine that if we added iodine to that list we would come close to eliminating breast cancer altogether and I note that in one rodent study it was found to be impossible to induce breast cancer in mice given iodine. Of course, for iodine to properly work it must also be taken with adequate amounts of selenium (and if someone is actually actively fighting an existing cancer, the most effective form of selenium is methylselenocysteine). Similarly, calcium requires magnesium (about one-third to one-half as much magnesium as calcium) to function optimally - and 90-95% of us are deficient in magnesium. I might also add that virtually all of us are deficient in many of the vital, yet oft overlooked, trace minerals as well.,
Of course it should go without saying that one should not simply throw supplements on top of an unhealthy diet and lifestyle - too many of us chase around for cures in a bottle, whether it be mainstream drugs or natural supplements. Natural supplements are the best by far, but in order to work best one must first establish a proper foundation with a good healthy diet of mostly raw mostly organic vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds and tubors, periodic fasting and cleansing, elimination of toxins in our environment and bodies, a healthy lifestyle that incorporates mild to moderate physical activity on a regular basis and elimination of stress and unresolved emotional issues.
All the best,
Tony
"Mot-juste"? French, n'est-ce pas? Je parle un peu Francais - tres peu!
Is that like "Sont des mots qui vont très bien ensemble"?
OK, I confess, I am a diehard fan of the Fab Four.
Luella is vastly improved and we are slowly getting some weight back on her scrawny frame, thanks much for asking.
All the best,
Tony
