There are many people struggling to understand why we are here, what are we to do here and where we are going. I have studied religions for many years now and have been apart of some of them to only find they all are guided by human bias, bigotry and misguided in too many ways.
Not saying that you cannot find valuable guidance, but only fragments of all faiths books are useful.
(Not willing to participate in an, is there or isn't there debate about a creator.)
There is only one creator of all, there is only one human race, yet each religious faith seems to declare they have one who has communicated with the Creator and they're beliefs are the true beliefs and the best means of advancing in life and in the afterlife. All others will suffer.
No one can hate another into a Hell and no one can love another into a Heaven. Neither exist as we wish them to exist. We want a Hell because we as humans want a punishment for those we hate. We want a Heaven because we feel we who are right should be rewarded.
The things we do in this world are frivolous and will seem as rather insignificant in another existence where you stand in eternity, aware of all.
When you were a child and you scrapped your knee it feel as if you entire body/mind was in agony, yet now, twenty years later we barely reflect on what we once perceived as total anguish.
How much do you think you will remember of any great worldly despair or atrocity after your mortal death and you are placed into eternity?
If you truly believe in a Creator/After Life than anyone's death and suffering is just a necessary step towards gaining greater existence and should never be mourned.
Those who cause great suffering to them self or others will retard their own advancement and is reason to change one's heart towards caring for all.
