That has been discussed before, many times. I guess it would beg the question whether anything is absorbed back into the system while OPing?

Personally, I do believe that EFA's are absorbed sublingually when OPing. Fife, who just wrote a book about OP disagrees that anything is absorbed into the system.

So here's the dilemma. If you do absorb things into the system, how long would it take? Seconds, minutes, hours? When you take sublingual medication, it's supposed to be immediate - straight to the blood system bypassing gastic juices, etc.

Of all the people that OP, most do it for 20 minutes, I think the vast majority. If it was counter productive to OP for 20 minutes, then why are people still experiencing major improvements?

At the end of the day, I don't think it matters. It's whatever you believe and won't hurt the process in the least - as long as you go approx. 20 minutes from beginning to end. Some people do more, some less. Fife says that OP for less that 20 minutes would be like not fully brushing the teeth. The oil needs to completely sweep the mouth of bacteria, and those that only do it for 10 minutes see less improvement overall.
