i came across this website and i just wanted to ask a question
.. i have a mustache that i started shaving when i was young, which was very stupid of me because i only did it because some boy told me i had a mustache, and being as nieve as i was i shaved it and ever since then i've been having to shave it everyday now. i have a boyfriend who loves me and has never said anything about it, i doubt he even notices it.. but i want to be able to not wake up every morning and have to shave my face.
so i'm just wondering how long you have to wait before the hair is long enough to wax. my hair grows not super fast, i dont usually get stubble until the morning after i shave it.
if anyone has answers that would be great

This is a reply to # 145,974You need to let it grow to between 1/8" and 1/4" before you can really wax it. So it's going to be really obvious. And if you've enough growth to have to shave every day, it may be to heavy to wax effectively.
Let your boyfriend see you with a day's growth. Try getting * him * to shave it for you. Make it something you share and he'll enjoy it as something that makes you special. Most guys are really good if you're open with them about it. What they dont' like is feeling they've been deceived.
I shave every day too and have done since I was fifteen.

This is a reply to # 145,974The hair could be eliminated by having it lasered off. Do not try to wax it because it will spread just like shaving. The laser is more effective because it deadens the root. If the hair is dark you will have more success. Light hair will not be affected by laser hair removal.
I have been using this treatment for the past 3 years and I have no facial hair anymore. It was a bit pricey and I had to make sacrifices to save the usd 50.00 a month to have this done. In the long run I am free of any facial hair and I also had my underarms and legs lasered.

This is a reply to # 145,977Laser can work very well if your hormone levels are within the normal female range and your skin is not greatly sensitized to testosterone and the hair growth isn't long-established.
For many women with male-type facial hair, however, these conditions don't apply.
