So, here I was all bummed out because Luella is STILL in the damned hospital and they said the earliest they would release her is Sunday, and I was thinking that I may have to fly out there, puny back and all, and rescue her . . . and I got a call from my son:
I'm gonna be a grandpa! WHOO HOO!
Yep, I gotta grandson on the way in a few months! Can't wait until he is past the "larval stage" and can walk and talk, potty free, and able to roll or kick a ball back and forth. And fish, and camp . . . . I may not be the best diaper holder and pablum feeder, but lemm tell ya, I will make a great grandpa!
Now, I just have to get my Luella back home, finish healing my back and stay in good shape . . .
Tony
I spoil them and then send them home
Nothing like being a grandparent to get sweet revenge on your children, huh? I'm thinking that somewhere along the line, a nice Christmas present like a drum set is in order . . .
Muah hah hah haaaaaaaaah!
That kid is toooo easy! Mine wanted to throw food and put half their birthday cake on their face!
I was beginning to wonder - my son turns 30 in September. Not having any grandkids to entertain surely makes me miss all the fun times we had. Too bad you can't just freeze them at about age 8 for a few years.
One thing for sure, time spent with your children is so very precious. No matter how much time you spend together, how many things you are involved in with them - years later you still look back with fond memories but also with tears of longing to have done even more.
