Well, I'm in my 2nd month of taking Bio-identicals. So far so good. I no longer have night sweats or hot flashes and my sex drive is improving but I have a long way to go as far as energy, mental clarity and weightloss. I went to my 2nd Dr.'s appointment and low and behold I got more bad news. He said my leptin levels are elevated and that is the main reason I couldn't lose weight. He suggested I purchase the book, THE ROSEDALE DIET, as he said it addressed the subject of Leptin. He also said weightloss could take up to a year. UGH! Does anyone know any other ways to reduce leptin levels??? My insulin is high, He has me on EstroGel and Prometrium, which are working out well. He also said I had high levels of Heavy Metal Poisoning......ugh. I'm scheduled for 13 rounds of IV Chelation therapy for the Heavy Metals and ofcourse, this is out of pocket, ouch! He also gave me chlorella, CLA, High Potency Buffered Vitamin C Powder to drink. I just came off a 3 week liver cleanse using MediClear 3X a day and fruits and veggies......didn't lose an ounce! So I'm really concerned about the LEPTIN and how to reduce it. I did order the Rosedale Diet Book and am awaiting it but was curious if any of you knew any more about this........Thanks and God Bless.
I never had a weight issue until I went through fertility treatments 2 years ago for 2 years, towards the end the dr. gave me maximum dosages of fertility drugs/hormones......I went from 140lbs size 9 to a size 18 and for 2 years have been unable to lose weight....atleast now I'm getting answers (leptin levels) but need to know more about reducing them......thanks.
I know what some of you are promoting regarding embracing your added poundage however, obestity, no matter how you slice it isn't healthy so it's not quite as simple as that. I want to be healthy and be able to tie my shoes again without fear to tipping over :)
