Hello everyone;
It's been awhile since my last letter but I can say I may have an answer for my fecal odor problem. I mentioned that I had started taking enzymes, and I was having a problem still with acid reflux. In fact it seemed like the smell even manifested again but I had bad heart burn ( but not from the enzymes from other foods) Anyway I was'nt treating the acid so I did a test to see where the smell was coming from and it was not coming from my bottom, I knew then it was coming from my stomach. I'm going to go back on my acid reflux medication and take the enzymes and see how things go. I did get my Thyroid supplements. I will keep you posted. I remembered reading from the site that acid reflux causes odors such as gas odors, so I went to the store and purchased some ACID REDUCER a generic of GAS X and when I started taking it after two days the fecal odor was reduced. The ingredient SIMETHICONE treats gas and it is in other anacids. On the site I listed about BO and myths it listed acid reflux causes odors but since taking the enzymes and the tablets when I eat it has combated the smell cause when I went for testing a long time ago the docs kept saying I had lots of acid in my stomach. I'm going to get back on my acid reflux medication and continue taking the enzymes because the meds are stronger than the over- the- counter meds. I did get my Thyroid supplements and I will keep you posted.. , . , . .

Yes I can smell it myself and also other people can too. I actually was taking a prescription medication for acid reflux called Protonix. It's so good i would only use it once a year but those with acid reflux also should follow a diet, I went back to my old ways of eating.- Re: Simethicone and enzymes may help... StanksAlot

This is a reply to # 1,443,763Oh, I think it's cool that you can smell it yourself b/c then you know how strong the smell is from day to day... it's easier to gauge.
I believe I was called the "whiff of death" yesterday. That was new and original... never been called that before. They didn't say it to my face, but I heard the one guy whisper it to the other. By the end of the day the thought of it made me laugh; these people are so lost, they think I don't bathe, HA

This is a reply to # 1,443,943I'm sorry to hear about that ignorant rude remark that one guy made. I was told that I smelled like something died that did not say it to my face as well they were passing by my house as I was standing outside and go something smells dead around here and I knew they were talking about me since I am starting to get use to the rude reamrks since I've been dealing with this for two years now. I also shower regularly and have very good hygiene but lol sometimes all you can do is laugh to yourself instead of cry like I use to all the time. I have laughed my butt off sometimes becuase I'll be outside standing with my friends and ofcourse I'm the one with the bo issue and people passing by will give us a crazy look like trying to figure out who is the one with the bo and I'll start cracking up beucase sometimes it is just hard to keep a straight face when those type of situations occur. Lol we will get through this at least you have a sense of humor to keep you going. I mean it is definitly not funny that we have to suffer with this everyday but sometimes you just have to have a good laugh intead of letting idots get to you. Take care of yourself and God bless.

I have also starting taking Super Enzyme Capsules before I eat and after I eat and will keep you posted on my progress but I can say that from me juicing my vegetables and eating them along with watching what I eat had reduced my odor. I'm not 100% but we'll see how the enzymes work for me I hope to eat some chicken due to the effect enzymes have on digesting proteins, starches, dairy etc. but I'll start slow but NEVER going back to a High Choline Diet. - Re: Simethicone and enzymes may help... iron333

I have the same condition like you. I managed my heartburn right away by eating alkaline foods. I like to share my story with you guys that I'd overcome my fecal odor, by drinking a probiotic drink. After 2 days of drinking, I began to feel a flu like sick. I had semi-watery phlegm. I had chills, but I still continue drinking the probiotic drink (3x a day). After a week my probiotic drink was out. So i had to stop. now, I'm a happy man. my fecal odor smell was gone :)
