High iodine?

Just wondered if anyone has taken a 24 hour urine test for Iodine and had very high results. The range was 75-500. My result was 70,684. I talked to the doctor's nurse today and he said he didn't have a clue, but that an error with the lab was highly unlikely. They were testing for low iodine, so they don't know what to do with this result. Any ideas?- Re: High iodine? cantwait2bfree

Wow, seems like the Doctor should have been concerned with that high of a reading. Did he say what he was going to do about the levels? Treatment, diet, supplements?
I don't know much about the numbers, but I do know that excessive Iodine can cause hypothyroidism just like low levels of Iodine can.
