Premenopausal saw different doctor and heard about four different approaches.
The Naturopathic doctor who gave me a pap and some natural stuff for hot flashes like black cohosh, yams, hawthrone root and told me to take unsulphured black strap molasses 1 to 2 teaspoon daily and many women swear by 2 tablespoons of natural apple cider vinegar in the morning and at night this is supposedly really helps I didn't have a chance to try it. She told me to get off sweets, wheat, soy and dairy that was easy I'm a vegetarian .
A friend told me to get a good thermos put crushed ice in it with some water, sort of like a drinkable snow cone and when you get hot take a couple quick drinks this does get the body temperature down fast.
The ND method did no seem as effective as I had hoped .Next stop was Chinese Medicine doctor he gave me some Chinese herbs and natural estrovera this is works amazingly well, but that was not going to address the cause which is hormonal. It did help tremendously.
Then, I went to an Bioidentical hormone naturopathic doctor she ran a million tests and she put me on natural plant based hormones helped but, not perfect.
.
Then I went to super smart MD gynecologist. She was amazing , She took a detailed history, a very through exam and was compassionate. This MD was not big into bioidentical hormones, because of the risks versus benefits I know she was referring to the BIGPHARMA hormones. A big no thanks, I did not mention I had just started on plant based bioidentical hormones since regular MD do not know anything about that.
Anyhow, I told her how sick I felt and this hot intolerance feeling
The MD sent me to right to the lab and I had been fasting so I was given a long blood
Sugar test and guess what? The hot flash which was not a hot flash after all apparently some diabetics get this super heat intolerance feeling that I was having. The MD called and got me set up with a endocrinologist to track my higher than normal blood sugar
Pre-diabetic I read can be easily cured by going on a all raw green diet no carbs, no sweets, and no starches easy for me because I'm a vegetarian so it isn't a big stretch.
My doctor said, it wasn't caught earlier because my AIC was normal and because I'm thin and most time doctor are looking at the overweight people, and the high risk groups.Does this make sense to anybody? Finally she said it my case it was just genetics from my grandmother
This is something that I finally figured out if your are premenopausal, or perimenopausal, and or menopausal and your MD has no answers please consider seeing a endocrinologist or a find a plant based bioidentical hormone specialsts both maybe able to help. I also will go the natural route first.
