I am 47 years old, my periods have been "weird" for at least a few years, 2 years ago experienced what I felt were the hot flashes but the flashes haven't really recurred. I am very Naive on this whole matter, this isn't a topic or something that I find easy to discuss with others my age etc.

I should also mention that I am divorced with no kids. At age 47 I certainly do not expect to become a first time mother. But I do want to know from the ladies that have/are going through this process, what do you do in the way of birth control? I have long ago stopped being on the Pill, but have recently started a relationship (I don't expect it to lead to marriage). He is a sweetheart, but unfortunately his erections are on the small side and do not last very long, so the question of using a condom never enters the picture. So...for us it has been unprotected sex. I have to wonder what are the odds of becoming pregnant under these circumstances. I would be interested in hearing from some other ladies.
