Hey Lisa, I am almost 7 months post, and the numbness is ALMOST completely gone. Sorry to say, it was one of the more lingering. When I went to the rheumatologist it was still on my list. I have only felt it a couple times in the last couple weeks, so it does go.....BUT, please remember, I am certain that the Antibiotic round I got a few months ago really knocked my recovery back.

Twitching I also got, and I haven't had that in a long time. Roller coaster is the norm with these symptoms.

in there, enjoy the good days. Know there will be more every month. Most important, on the days where it is bad...be gentle with yourself and ride it out.

Hi I just wanted to respond to your posting. I had the Mirena from Sept 26 2008 through March 5th 2009 and had already developed several side effects which is how I found this site. I had tingling and numbness in both arms, hands feet, pain in joints, weight gain of 15 pounds, mood changes, anxiety, heart palpitations, swelling in my legs from the mid thigh down, increased irritability, difficulty sleeping. So far, the tingling and numbness have improved dramatically (noticeable the second month after removal), such that I hardly notice what is left. The pain went away within the first two weeks of removal. The swelling is driving me crazy though and has not changed or improved. Good luck, I wish you a speedy recovery.
