yes, it's a scam, unfortunately. The orange stuff doesn't come out of the feet but of the metal that's being ionized (if I recall correctly). If you make the thing go all alone without feet inside the water becomes the same murky.

Its true that it can turn yucky by itself, particularly if the water isn't super distilled water. However, I tried this a number of years ago--two treatments, with the gross results seen in this video. But after using Lugol's solution (iodine) like on the Iodine supplementation forum here at CZ, and doing liver cleanses, I went to visit my parents (in another state). Unknown to me, my other had one of these units. I had just completed 3 months of high dosage Iodine (following Trapper's example. So, while I was at my mother's I did a foot detox treatment since it was free. To my surprise the water stayed pristine clear the whole time! SO maybe it does remove "stuff" in very small doses. LFs are much more effective and much faster. SO is iodine.
