good question!
Failure to ingest the proper amount of nutrients on the
Master-Cleanse , while 'attempting' to maintain a normal physical lifestyle, will most likely cause the body to go into starvation mode not cleansing mode.
Here are a couple of sites I have fun with while learning
what levels of calories, vitamins, etc. we should be ingesting each day:
Nutritional facts for just about anything:
http://www.nutritiondata.com/
Exercise calculator via individual's weight:
http://www.prohealth.com/weightloss/tools/exercise/calculator1_2.cfm
Each full strength
Master-Cleanse Cocktail contains apx 110 calories.
Fiddle with the math. For me, playing pool for two hours burns apx 500 calories( more if I'm winning :P ). I'd be a veg if I didn't drink at least 10 a day.
Even if someone is trying to lose weight, I believe it is
best to drink full strenth (2+2 tablespoons lemon/maple)and at least 8-10 per day , especially folks new to cleansing.
One of the greatest things about the
Master-Cleanse is that once you are in the 'zone' and your body has assimilated/acclimated to the routine, stored fat will be easlily burned, allowing for a pretty active lifestyle during the cleanse. However, it is VERY easy to over do it. I've hit the wall a few times and learned; "don't leave home without it". IF one does over do it,physically or mentally, not in the zone of burning fat and NOT doing their 'daily dose' of lemonades, it is very possible that muscle loss can occur, this includes the heart muscle. This is merely one possible aspect.
It is so important to ensure that the body has a readily available supply of 'fuel' and hydration, especially on the MC.
I, and others, have written volumes on this very subject.
This forum is vast library of information and documentation
from folks that have learned , some times the hard way, the right ways and wrong ways. Everyone can be different,
yet it is wise to follow the basic premise and learning what works and what doesn't after at least trying the prescribed protocol and tweaking only when confident and knowledgeable about how we each tick.
I'm 6'3",22o
lbs. I always shoot for 1 lemonade every active hour starting apx 1 hour after my swf or morning purge of the day. I drink one every hour on the hour, just to easily keep track. I am one of those nimrods who learned the hard way, either forgetting or feeling so good that I just blew off a couple of hours worth...ugh. This is why I stuck my nose in here today. It's not worth playing with. I'm still learning, I guess, and always will be.
Ok...it's late and I hope I made some sense, speaking of 'veg'.
Gearing up for an MC myself in a week...
E-Ya around! Enjoy the weekend!
