Hi Moreless, I went to my "alternative doctor" today. I have a 7 month old baby and have recently stopped breastfeeding. I am on 30mg daily of Armour Thyroid. 2 weeks ago my thyroid was very sore on the right side only. Around that time, I received my kelp and laver in the mail and was able to start the alkalizing drink. Within a day or so, my thyroid became noticeably less painful. However, my doctor checked it today w a blood test and also felt it and said it was swollen on the right side. He gave me a scriipt for a sonogram. I am hesitant to go get the sonogram b/c they will probably just tell me what we already know - There is a nodule. Any advice? I was thinking of continuing with the drink for a few weeks and maybe then get the sonogram and see if there is still something there. I went to the Health store today and picked up some iodine drops - this made me feel like I was doing something good for myself. However, maybe the kelp offers enough iodine? I appreciate your insight! Thanks!

I have Hashimoto's disease and have had the sonogram showing mutiple nodules which were very visible to the eye
and certainly with touch. One night I discovered these while feeling like I was not going to make it until morning, made an appt with M.D. Then the rounds of testing etc by an Endo started. skip forward after 8 years of drug therapy...
I stumbled onto this site and am having success. In the beginning I started like gang busters with the drink but had to drop back. I take one kind of kelp in the morning anf another later in the day because I could not decide which was right for me. Just this week, after several months, I have added a second drink daily. My nodues are no longer visible with the eye and I have long quit going to the Endo. He yelled and hollered at me for wanting to do natural things and wrote a nastey letter to the M.D. who recommended him. You know you can be treated like trash by the world without paying out the nose for it. Having said that, I do like the M.D. who continues to moniter my thyroid levels.
Just to show you how well the foot bathes also work, for 2 weeks I have had a horrible case of posion ivy on my right foot with blisters on my arms and hands. I did a search on this site for that affliction indicating foot baths would work. The morning after each one, I was amazed how well the hands were coming along. Today my foot still looks ugly but is completely dry.
Take the advice of an old woman and persevere with the teachings on this site. I certainly wish I had known them at your age.
