Hi,
Keep chimes outside and far from the house!
For Classical Feng Shui which does not use crystals or baguas, the main thing for a bedroom is to be able to see the door FROM the bed (to see your enemies entering!). So, when you open the door to the bedroom, you should be able to see the head of the bed easily, without the bed being aligned directly with the door (like a coffin ready to leave the room).
Your health energy lives in the walls of your room and your wealth energy comes in the window. You do not want to have a fountain in your bedroom -- too much yang energy. Soft colours usually apply unless you know how the Flying Stars fly within the room. A CD playing there would protect you from the infamous '5'. Unless you know the direction and birthdate of the house, you would not know where this star is, so the CD is good. A chiming clock somewhere in the house gives the same kind of protection as the music on the CD. The 5 star is the Evil Emperor who can do damage, but he is afraid of Heaven which is represented by the sound of metal (chiming clock) or the moving CD which gives out the metallic sound of music. Heaven (the stars in the sky) appears to be moving and it intimidates the Emperor so that he behaves.
