Hi Ya'll,
Over the last couple of weeks we have had over 18 inches of Rain and some of my garden was flooded and standing in 20 inches of water?
As I have mentioned plants may load up on Nitrogen and water when it rains too much and the Brix of the plants may drop way down?
The rain stopped by Monday of this week and we had a couple of cloudy days and now we are getting some sunshine !
Yesterday I checked the Brix on some of my Collards and it had dropped down to 5 1/2 Brix !
Last nite I just took some foliar mix an poured it over and around most of the plants !
At 5:30 PM today I tested a Collard and found it tested 9 1/2 Brix in the stem of the upper part of the Leaf, which would be the 1st spot it should Improve !
The Lower part down next to the main stalk was 6 1/2 Brix !
The upper leaf is what one would eat with the 9 1/2 Brix and it was a Fuzzy reading indicating Very Little NPN !
The Leaf was about 12 inches wide at the widest point !
Here is a picture of a Collard Leaf I raised in the past:

And here one may see other pictures of other Vegetables I have raised:

This is almost a Double raise in the Brix over nite !
It is amazing what one can do when one learns some Basics !
Edit: I just did an ERGS test on the top 4 inches of the soil under this Collard plant and it was 193 ERGS !
Not Bad after having 18 inches of rain?
Cause and Effect !
Smile Tis your choice.
