1. What is a dropperful - fill up to about 1/3 of the dropper? Or, completely fill all the way up to the top (which I found impossible to do)? A dropperful is however much you can squeeze up into a dropper - it is NEVER a "full dropper" because (you're right!) it's impossible to make a dropper be full. A dropperful is approximately 30 drops
2. When Dr. Schulze refers to a dropperful, is he referring to the 2oz bottle or the 4oz bottle? It's most likely that he's referring to a 2 oz bottle, because I don't believe he's ever sold anything in a 4 oz bottle. I found multiple different references for the # of dropperfuls in a bottle. For the 2oz bottle, one says 60 dropperfuls, another one says 84 dropperfuls. Our bottles have about 84 droppersful in a 2oz bottle and about 148 droppersful in a 4 oz (that's because the dropper is bigger/holds more in a 4 oz bottle...but if you use the 2 oz dropper in the 4oz bottle, you'll get about 168 droppersful) I just want to get this straight. I’m sorry if this has been asked and answered many times. NO problemo, I don't think it's been asked :)
3. Do I need to wash the herbal tea prior to soaking? Or, are they ready to go as is? To my way of thinking, they're ready to go "as is", but I see no harm to come in rinsing them. You'll be boiling them...so all bacteria will be killed during that process. Honestly, I never thought of rinsing them (I've never seen that suggested). I've never seen a 'speck of anything' that looks unusual or yukky...but in a bag of mixed herbs, I likely couldn't tell what is a 'root tail' or odd leaf part from something that's not supposed to be in there.
4. Do I need to keep the tea in the fridge? I don't usually refrigerate mine - I usually bring them back to at least a simmer before drinking each cup (I never strain out the herbs to store the tea, I just 'strain as I pour' out of the tea kettle. I have a license in food safety/sanitation (IL), and I am confident that bringing anything to a temperature of over 140 degrees F kills all pathogens. But if you're going to 'strain & store' and then reheat, go ahead and put it in the fridge. (I like mine to keep soaking in the herbs to get stronger & stronger with each cup :)
-Many Thx! Many 'Welcomes (by the way? I think you're doing a LOT of learning & research VERY quickly...and I think that's AWESOME!)
