Attention parents: It's not your kids that are making you go gray. Your hair is simply building up too much hydrogen peroxide.
Bottle-blondes may be a fan, but hydrogen peroxide, which is produced naturally in the human body, interferes with melanin, the pigment that colors our hair and skin.
The body also produces the enzyme catalase, which breaks down hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen. Or at least it does for a while. As we age, catalase production tails off, leaving nothing to transform the hydrogen peroxide into chemicals the body can release.
Actually catalase is only one of the enzymes used by the body to decompose peroxides. There is also glutathione peroxidase, selenium methionine peroxidase, and most importantly superoxide dismutase (SOD). Why is SOD the most important in this point? Because it is SOD that is also responsible for producing the body's hydrogen peroxide.
So, as hydrogen peroxide builds up, we go gray, concluded researchers at the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom, who last week published the results of a study in the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology's online journal.
But wait, Moreless thinks all real science is a bunch of hogwash. Only his riduculous BS has any validity in his mind.
Experimental Biology's online journal.
Reversing the process
"This new insight could open new strategies for intervention and reversal of the hair graying process," wrote the study's lead author John Wood, who died last month.

The studies were based on analysis of cell cultures of human hair follicles.
In addition to lacking catalase, the follicles of gray-haired people also had far fewer hair-repair enzymes, which in turn drove down production of melanin, the scientists found.
Genetics play a role as well, causing some people, such as Caucasians, to gray earlier than others, like Asians.
Scientists suspect the same mechanism also may be responsible for a condition known as vitiligo, where white spots appear in the skin.
Vitiligo is an autoimmune disease. The low affinity antibodies are targeting melanin producing cells for destruction by the white blood cells. This has been known by mainstream medicine for a very, very long time. How old is this study you are citing? From 1776? Please, at least get some up to date research!!!
"It gives you insight into how we age in general," Gerald Weissmann, professor of medicine at New York University, told Discovery News. "They got the molecular basis of aging down pat."
Skin cells produce small amounts of hydrogen peroxide as part of the body's oxygen cycle. The chemical serves to kill bacteria.
Hydrogen peroxide is also generated by healthy cells and immune cells to kill cancer cells and activate white blood cells. It can only do this though in the presence of an alkaline source as hydrogen peroxide is stable in an acid environment. And it cannot do squat unless it is broken down to release a singlet oxygen. The same applies to bleaching hair. In order for hydrogen peroxide to oxidize anything it must break down from H2O2 in to H2O and O. The O is a powerful oxidizer with the ability to kill pathogens, cancer cells, and bleach a substance in sufficient quantities. Again though, in order to be broken down by contact with a sustance it must come in to contact with an alkalinizer. The reason they use acidic substances like phosphoric acid and sodium thiosulfate to store bought 3% peroxide is because the peroxide is stabilized by acid environments and quickly decomposes in an alkaline environement. So if Moreless was correct then his protocol would be causing a lot of people to become prematurely gray.
Scientists are hopeful there may be a way to remix the chemical soup to keep color in our hair, which no doubt is of interest to a hair-care industry that will be worth about $42.5 billion worldwide by 2010, according to a market report published last year by Global Industry Analysts.
Weissmann predicts it won't be long before products to remove hydrogen peroxide from the hair — and the body in general — are created.
"The rule goes when basic science is discovered it is quickly followed by a product," he said.

Answer: Keywords for study: Melanin "Pineal Gland" "Calcified pineal gland +Calcification "pineal gland" seratonin melatonin
When we ask ourself what Melanin is and what it is made of we may better understand?
What may we come up with that may be as such?
Melatonin: C13H16N2O2
Melanin and melatonin are not related. They are not formed from each other, and they have totally different functions in the body. Of course if you even had the slightest clue of what you were talking about then you would have actually realized that!!!
Basically we may be talking about a Hormone?
Then we need to ask ourself what may control the Hormones our body may produce and How these may be produced and what Alkaline Minerals these may need to be produced?
Again it still may boil down to a lack of the needed Alkaline Minerals !!!!!!!!
The part about peroxide interfering with melanin production sounds like a ploy to scare folks from using peroxide?
Thus I would not put much faith in this idea !
Smile Tis your choice.
Hey Mr. H, no I didn't say it wasn't allowed, I said curezone doesn't rely on mainstream medical.
Such postings are for the benefit of people like you...who have much faith in these studies. I'm not saying they are all wrong...it's just not where we get all our info from.
First of all I do not accept any study out there. I have read through numerous studies that were set up to achieve certain results or to prove an herb or supplement dangerous through manipulated research. Secondly, we need to have some REAL basis for claims being made here. People's health and lives are on the line. I have seen so many false claims made here as well as bad or dangerous advice. Is that what you feel people should rely on? For example there are people here that will swear up and down that liver flushes are for real and that they are passing gallstones. It does not matter to them that this has been proven false so many times. One poster even put up a post about an analysis that was performed by a lab that proved these were not gallstones. What people are passing are a complex of the sterols from the olive oil and cholesterol from food and the body. Sterols have an extremely high affinity for cholesterol. The insoluble complexes they form are the so called "stones" people are passing. This is why they float instead of sink like real gallstones. And if people would take time to do real research on the subject rather than listening to unsubstantiated opinions being passed off as "fact" then they would know this. So should the people that know this does not work just be quiet even though they also know that these flushes can lodge a real gallstone in a bile duct requiring emergency surgery? Bad advice can be dangerous, just as false claims can be. For example telling people to drink sodium bicarbonate, or worse yet caustic calcium hydroxide (lime). Are you aware of how damaging hydroxides can be in tissues? Or the fact that they are some of the strongest free radicals known? If you saw someone being put in harms way would you remain quiet?
And again, there is good research that was properly done, and bad research that was manipulated to achieve certain results. Looking at the research can show up which one they are.
What is exciting about being here at curezone is that we all come to the realization that WE are the one's responsible for our health. You are the doctor/researcher/patient. You get to write the standards for your own health care.
I disagree. Someone giving advice is also responsible. There are people out there that are desperate and gullible. If someone is going to give dangeorus or faulty advice then they are just as responsible as the person if that person gets hurt following that advice.
All those testimonials.....they may not be double blind studies but they are the sound of victory over being overly dependent on our medical system of today.
Moreless uses testimonials as an ego booster. And who is to say that Moreless is not spending hours each night making up a lot of the testimonials himself to make himself look bigger? This is the point I have brought up to him in the past, and that he has twisted to claim that I called his followers liars. As I have said in the past I have received many chain letters with testimonials at the bottom claiming that they have made so much money. So was I supposed to believe these testimonials just because they were placed somewhere they could be read? Of course not! Whoever started that chain letter is the one that wrote the testimonials. And as many times as Moreless has made up lies about me and continued to repeat them after I showed he was lying. I am supposed to believe that all of the testimonies were actually written by people he helped? I don't think so! Trust is not given it is earned. And Moreless has proven himself, to me, to be an outright liar that will say or do anything to keep from being exposed as a fraud. This is further evidenced by the fact that several people have proven him wrong time and time again, myself included, yet he still will not admit his numerous errors. Let's see, nitrogen is protein. Hydrogen content increases acidity. But carbon and oxygen buffer the acidity of the nitrogen. And one nitrogen, which is apparently acidic in protein, can buffer the acidity of 4 acidic hydrogen atoms to create alkaline ammonium. But somehow this same nitrogen along with the oxygen buffer is not enough to buffer the one little acidic hydrogen in nitric acid. Nor can the buffering carbon and oxygen atoms buffer the few hydrogen atoms of carbonic or acetic acids. Which of Moreless' ever changing BS stories are we supposed to believe if any? And why should we believe a single claim Moreless has to make when he cannot even keep his stories straight? Maybe if Moreless would actually do some scientific research as well as research on how the human body works then we would not be having this discussion because he would not be putting people's health at risk!
My husband is not my enemy and neither are you Mr. H. We are just looking at things a little different...that's all. Please have respect for the people who have worked hard to learn to increase their health and have even more respect for the one's that have achieved it with flying colors.
How do you know you have not hurt yourself by following bad advice? As I pointed out to someone else drinking baking soda will make someone feel better if they have heartburn. Does this mean they cured the problem? Of course not. The original cause can still be present. The treatment is just a bandaid. Is it a safe practice? Of course not!!! Neutralizing the stomach acid can cause infections, yeast overgrowth leading to more heartburn, increased risk of allergies from undigested proteins, inhibition of vitamin and mineral absorption, inhibition of protein digestion, possible hypokalemia and/or alkali syndrome............... So yes, you may feel better, but at what cost? Why not just take a pharmaceutical drug if all you are interested in is covering up a symptom while causing other adverse heath effects?
You may not agree on the methods but at least take a small interest (if nothing else) in why some people heal and others don't. Alot can be learned.
And you think only Moreless has answers? Moreless has a lot to learn. Problem is that every time we try to teach him Moreless and his followers go on the war path attacking anyone relentlessly that dare oppose the holy knownothingatall. Again, if you wish to believe his bogus claims that have been disproven so many times that is your business. You should not be trying to speak for everyone else on these boards though. There are people out there that are interested in real facts, not make it up as you go stories, and they want to see the research so they will feel more comfortable in the recommendations.
I met a woman many years ago dying of cancer who was very much opposed to alternative therapies. The reason according to her was that she went to
My husband was the last person in the world who I ever thought would turn to alternative medicine for help but that just goes to show you that one should never give up hope. Mr. H, I'm not going to give up hope on you either. I know in your own way, you mean well. A year ago my husband would be doing just what you are doing now if he got on this website. He is now following the path that I am on after he got a chance to see my MS symptoms go away and I got my life back.
Believe me, herbs are great and I'm so glad you are teaching about them, but if you will apply the principles of pH balancing to their use and learn how to choose better quality foods you will amazed what good they can really do. :)
You need to learn about pH and the numerous ways the body moderates it. I have no problem with good diet or herbs to provide buffering minerals to the body. I do have a problem though with people recommending dangerous products like magnesium oxide/hydroxide, calcium oxide/hydroxide, and sodium bicarbonate all of which can cause damage to the body. Especially when the person recommending these practices PRETENDS to understand chemistry and human anatomy and physiology. If you had a Mercedes Benz would you take it to a 5 year old to have it repaired? Of course not because they would not have the knowledge to know how the car works. So why would you want someone working on something more important, like your body, when they do not even understand the basics of human anatomy and physiology or chemistry? That would be like going to a busboy to have him operate on your brain to remove a tumor!!!
You are like those zealots who argue that because we don't know everything, we can't know anything. Sorry bud, but your logic is flawed and so are your arguments.
There is nothing in the universe that will ever confirm ML idiotic claim that aciditiy will affect and change isotopes. Or that "the Isotope of NH2....", I yet to find anything that confirms most of what ML writes. If he blindly stumbles luckily onto the truth, it was merely by accident and not because he researched or thought about the subject.
Your predictions about the timeline have no basis on reality and you pretty much pulled them out of your furry bear behind
Having an understanding of "how the human body works and how the things being added to it affect the body" are a part of the "sciences" I referred too... it was not forgotten... but then you like to "separate" things and compartmentalize them.-grzbear
Actually I don't. If you paid careful attention to my posts you would have seen that I look at the overall picture. To many things are tightly interconnected in the body.
But then, I would want a confident (not overly so) doctor, assistants, and anesthesiologist for my surgery team... wouldn't you?-grzbear
Confident? Yes, if they were confindent in what they were doing, and not making things up as they go.
So this statement of yours, may be a double edged sword. And IF, this doctor's made up medical facts, happened to be cutting edge truth... what then?-grzbear
Nitrogen is protein and other such bogus statements are hardly cutting edge! Neither are all the contradictory statements that have been pointed out. This may be cutting edge in some parallel universe, but in this reality it is nothing but bogus rantings of a quack!!! Why do his followers think that Moreless is the ONLY person in the world with the answers? Apparently every scientist in the world is a total m*o*o*n, and all their fancy expensive equipment has proven nothing according to these blind brainwashed followers of his. They seem to prefer the ramblings of someone that appears to channel his claims from the bottom of a bottle or something.
I have asked a lot of valid questions of Moreless and he has yet to give an answer or even a slightly rational explanation. Maybe you want to try? How about if acidity causes muscle contractions as he claims then how does the stomach and uterus work if they should be in a constant state of contraction? And since movement requires simultaneous muscle contraction and relaxation then how do we move since the muscles will be exposed to ame exact pH at the same exact time? Tis so simple to see that Moreless is full of BS!!!
