Hello there.
I have been busy reading from the beginning of this forum forward and stopping in here daily for new updates and info. So far...I have not found anything on weird eyebrows.
Since I have started Iodine supping, I have been pleased with my results including my almost invisible eyebrows
coming back into veiw. Cool!
Lately though I have noticed that they are going haywire. Or maybe more accurately, curly and straight wire. They are so out of control it is embarrasing. Some of them curl up and cause a funny looking hump and others are sticking straight out like a pointer arrow! Looks like I spiked them on purpose becasue they are so intensely out there!Like a mo hawk sticking straight off the brows! Good grief!!
Had a customer at work comment on this recently.
At first if I wet them down with water or smooth them down with oil they would behave. Now though nothing seems to work for the little boogers short of plucking them and I have not had them long enough to want to pluck any one of them. Tonight though I gave in and plucked out three on one brow and two on the other. And that is alot! They are so very long,dark and thick, that I was really bummed to lose them.
Ahh... if only they would behave.
Anyone else having an issue with eyebrow hawks? If so did you have any luck helping them behave more acceptably?
Thanks for any direction I can look. I only want to look funny when I am trying too!! LOL

My husband's do that, I think worse once he got past about 45. He doesn't trim them himself, just gets that done when he gets a haircut, so I go after him with the scissors when they start waving at me. He's 50 now, and they seem to grow faster and longer. Lately I'm having the fun of chin hairs, while it's falling out on my head. Iodine doesn't seem to have affected it one way or the other yet, that started before iodine.
So, depending on your age and sex.... it might just be a getting older thing? I would assume due to a change in hormones.

I am female and 48 years young. At least this year I feel younger than many years before. Could be aging but has only started since I started supping Iodine. That is why I assumed it was from Iodine..
Hmmm... Age huh? Scary to think what I might look like at 80!!! LOL!

This is a reply to # 1,385,593maybe, because you havent had them for a while, you need to train them. how about some mousse or butch wax(ha! i date myself) or something to keep them in the direction you want them to go??

I actually did think about mousse or even hair spray but shy away from anything that is to close to the eyes. I have already had cataract surgery in my right eye at 44 and now at 48 looks like I wont be able to escape surgery again if I still want to be allowed to drive leagally.
Bumma roo gettng old to many years ahead of myself.

This is a reply to # 1,385,628For years my eyebrows looked like Brooke Shields. Thick and long so I trimmed them. Six years ago I lost the outer half, now that has grown back. Within the last 6 months I've lost the innter bushiness that brought them to close together. It's amazing what age does to hair, but I do believe that the Iodine has reduced the number of hairs on my face. If your getting them on your chin, you might have gotten more by now if you had not been doing the iodine.

I began mega dosing Vit D a few days ago after researching lack of D and autoimmune issues plus cisco kid told me about d def and the dangers w/ prednisone which I am tapering off of.
anyway had alopecia universalis but hair is back due to steroids anyway grew in course thick curly and or excessively straight...so point of the story after a few days on 10,000 to 15,000 IU a day vit D
my hair is changing, it is soft again!!! and not so don kingish

This is a reply to # 1,385,952I never thought I'd have a problem with facial hair, since I have lighter-pigmented genetics and never anything but fine, short peach fuzz, and very little of it. Recently it's just more and longer peach fuzz and in the past year or two, the occasional thicker, dark stray hair on my chin, not near as much as some women have. I remember my mom sitting at her desk with a magnified compact mirror and tweezers going after chin hairs in the same spots I do. I am a carbon copy of her in so many ways, so I don't know why it should have surprised me. I know it's hormonal. I'm going to get some tests for hormone levels soon and if Iodine alone doesn't balance things out, I'm looking into the bio-identical hormone replacement thing. Not just because of facial hair, though.

Vaseline works well, too, but it's hard not to use too much and get shiny brows.

This is a reply to # 1,385,593Ah, eyebrows. I don't know that there have been many changes since beginning iodine. They used to be all brown, but then, like my hair, they changed color. While the light colored hairs on my head look white, the weird eyebrow hairs look white-blonde. Those tend to be the longest ones. It drove the woman who cut my hair crazy - she'd trim them for me. Sometimes I would trim them. I plucked the longer, weirder ones out. Rarely did one stick out at a really bizarre angle or get curly - they were mostly long and all over the place.
The white hair and eyebrow thing...I guess I'm still in need of antioxidants.
I keep hoping that these hair color things will work themselves out, back to brown. Sometimes I have two-toned eyebrow hairs, like they started growing brown and turned white-blonde, or vice versa.

This is a sign of oxidative stress, and also indicates adrenal insufficiency.
Remove ALL oxidizing supplements and you will see a reversal of this condition!
Especially be careful of oxygen products.
