hey mate,like u mentioned in your previous post that u were suffering from Sebahoric dermatitis do u really think it could be possible that it might have spread to the lips??i have been suffering with sd and peeling of lips for almost 2 years.symptoms itchy scalp,eyebrows,scales around the mush and the beard.did u approach your derm with the possible link??if so what did he say,did he agree with you?did u take any oral medication for sd,did it help??

This is a reply to # 1,378,968It is very possible that the 2 are related but I have found no proof. I had SD way before I developed EC. No I have not taken oral medicine for SD. The good thing is that I don't have very bad SD just a small exfoliating helps me but thats about it. Have you asked a doctor about the possible conection?

This is a reply to # 1,379,169yes i did see my doc today and he said it is highly possible,to start of with he has put me on zinc supplements anti fungal meds.no application for the lips but application for the beard area.he said the beard area should clear up with in 3 days n then i can discontinue the application n start shaving.he said zinc will help body improve immunity but i need to have it for 3 months.funny thing is he told me am not going to give any application for the lips because its useless and the problem is internal.keep u posted,thnx for the reply..

This is a reply to # 1,379,541Indeed these two conditions, although seemingly unrelated, are DIRECTLY connected. Have any of you noticed that a vast majority of EC sufferers complain of dandruff/SD? I have the evidence to establish the link. Not only do the posts from this forum relay substantial proof but I have a classic text written in the early 60's documenting this condition in detail-and indeed it involves the lips!!!
Please, forget all these unecessary posts and senseless rambling. For us this is Seborrheic Dermatitis . I have been struggling to identify the ROOT CAUSE for years. Nothing has been successful. We need to collaborate to resolve this. Even if it means excluding the other posters and devising a coordinated plan amongst ourselves. Thanks.

This is a reply to # 1,383,534Most of us here never used bite our lips or lick them,mine started when i scratched below my lips.my lips started to swell n i though it was some kind of an allergy but it wasnt i have never been allergic.after various test it was confirmed that its not allergy.i knew i had sd but never thought the two were related,like i mentioned in my previous post when i visited my dr in connection to the dandruff that has been falling of my beard he said there is chance that the two could be related.I believe there were a lot of people who related sd and ec in this forum before,i really hoped those guys who show up again.
