Easy prey or not. Some of us (without insurance) cannot afford DR.s and their pharmaceuticals. I dont care if I spend the next 20 years trying different vitamins and herbal supplements (which I am), the cost would never come close to what my mother spent on pharmaceuticals, the last two years of her life. Personnally I feel DR.s and their drugs killed her. Three years ago I ended up in the hospital thinking I was having a heart attack. But because I had no insurance, they sent me home the next morning (without running any extensive testing), with a prescription of protonix ($100.00 a month), and told me I PROBABALY had an ulcer! WRONG! Three years and a few Dr. visits later still no relief. I was in so much pain I wanted to take to my bed and die. Well with 4 dogs, 2 kids, 1 husband and a 78 yr. old dad, death just wasn't doable. Since DR.s were no longer an option for me, I turned too herbal healing (thanks to a friend). I will be 50 soon and have never in my life felt this good. NO pain, No depression! With the help of these forums I diagnosed and treated myself with candida albicans, leaky gut and gallstones. I've tried over 40 different vitamins and supplements for these problems and only came across one that did not help($6.00). Cost for all this only $300.00. Testing alone to just try and figure out what my problems were would have cost me thousands. So I say to you all do not put total trust into Drs., READ and RESEARCH (you know your body best)! I grant there are times DR.s will be needed, but you pick and choose these times. Maybe if the DR.s see we can take care of ourselves(for the most part), medical costs might go down? YEAH!! I just love these forums. They saved my life!
