I would use tea tree oil until you get the crown. Dab some TTO with a Q-tip onto the tooth and gum a few times a day. Worked for me.

root canals are a little slice of death. i dont think you want to carry that around with you.

yes, you can use it that way. put one drop on your finger and test it out. a qtip might make a good applicator after that.

I had a filling on the side of my back upper molar break off 3 weeks ago. It was hurting and I was in the dentist chair 2 days later. They did nothing to the tooth and told me it would be 3 weeks before starting to work on it and placing a gold crown for me. At the time of the break I smothered my toothbrush with Lugol's and brushed it with a firm toothbrush. I rinsed with water, then I applied that nasty temp bond to it but it fell off immediately. The tooth stopped hurting the moment I applied the Lugol's and did not hurt until setting down in the dentist chair yesterday.

iodine sounds good. I heard to use cloves on pains of mouth.
say this tooth was down to the nub and you wanted no doctor
to place a cap upon it.
somewhere article read to not brush with baking soda but salt and this nub grows.
The nutrient is needed to allow tooth to grow healthy.
