After reading that thread and seeing the terrible grammer and spelling from MH, I would suggest this person is in dire need of an IQ boost from Iodine :) Why are people so afraid ?????

i seem to remember recently he took an order of his oranges, maybe the fasting has made him a bit more volatile than he usually is. i know we all need to vent occassionally, but i do think his vents can get quite personal, it's a shame because he helps a lot of people, i think he may have a little of that doctor complex. just my opinion of course,

Its always seemed some writers have great fear of iodine, probably because this forum, less than 2 years old, has risen in such popularity that it takes away some of the steam of other forums.

Iodine is so very powerful.

Reasons are, that a deficiency in Iodine can manifest in a wide range of symptoms or disease conditions, depending on other factors and scenarios. A few scenarios are below:

deficient in Iodine and alkali metal deficiencies
deficient in Iodine with excess bromide
deficient in iodine with excess fluroride
deficient in iodine and deficient in D3
deficient in iodine and eating wrong oils
deficient in iodine and not ingesting enough fiber
deficient in iodine and many Amalgams in mouth

etc., there's thousands of possible combinations........

And the thing is, that just by supplementing this one element, a necessary mineral that is missing, so many different conditions can be eliminated.

Would you, or would you not, expect those who make money selling snake oils, including pharmas and others, to feel threatened by iodine, that basically costs pennies ???

What's really funny about that forum is that somebody was trying to argue with me that Iodine is a metal.


Um. No. Iodine isn't even a metalloid. It's a complete non-metal with no metallic properties at all. It's on the far right of the periodic table and is in the 7th group of elements, which are labelled the halogens.

Somebody didn't pay attention in high school chemistry.

MH studied 1800's and early 1900's texts\herbalists, and had teachers that had not had to contend, account, nor adjust for, the ubiquitous chemical pollution we have today in our food, water, air, etc. etc.

Nor does MH seem to take into account the lost efficacy of foods, herbals, and spices sold commercially that are additionally radiated\chemically pasteurized etc. etc. further degrading them.

i.e. an apple can be a good source of boron, dependent upon where and how it is grown and how it is harvested and handled till point of consumption... thus, even though you may be eating apples for the boron, they can be a very poor source...

In the grand scheme of things, it would be nice if he were right (and he should be in a perfect world), however, in this day and age, I disagree with him on this issue as most of you do.
