"elderly persons"... well, I will find out soon if I do any more fasting, which I am sure I will, but bear in mind that when
Shelton wrote that people's diet and life expectancy was very different
http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0005148.html
so "elderly" to
Shelton may have been someone aged 40 or 50. Goodness knows how that relates to current day people.
Having said that, there are articles out there that argue that loose skin will tighten up on weight loss, for example
http://www.bodyfatguide.com/LooseSkin.htm
- so I guess there's only one way to find out.
I have noticed some loose skin as I fasted, but I took a break from it, to see if it tightens up. It seems to have.
There are other things that help as well, such as dry skin brushing, and cocoa butter.
