Why take a risk with an unknown for something minor as well.
Jim Humble may be right it may not do any harm at the right doses but it can delay brain development as shown in animal testing if too much is used and it can't be sure what else, also at a safe dose, whatever that may be, it may not help either
Best to make sure nutrition and water is good and enough minerals and vitamins are in the diet. Something like that suggested supplement looks good, also good rest, no or low stress, moderate exercise. a bit extra
Iodine may help too
You should believe it will get better, not the negative stuff on the internet,
the doctor and drug stuff is right though, steer clear of those, that's probably a good way to keep the problem or make it worse.
At this time of year it's probably lack of sun, vitamin D and fresh air that is the problem, depends where you are of course
