The breakthrough in my curing of my myopia came when I realized that physical vision is an expression of spiritual vision, and that allowing the third eye its rightful place is the key to seeing "that which is far off."
In this image
notice the muscle labeled 2 (superior rectus) is innervated by the ocular nerve; it connects to 1, the annulus of Zinn, a ring of fibrous tissue that surrounds the optic nerve. When you try to "see" from a lower (physical) state of fear or anxiety, that muscle in particular tenses up.
If, however, you let go and allow the third eye to direct the sight, that muscle relaxes and the eyeball moves freely within the socket.
Subjectively, if you pay attention to the third eye, one area of sensation that will come to your awareness is the activity of that muscle.
In addition to releasing tension from the physical eye, it's also important to support the health of the pineal gland. Researchers have found that fluoride, a molecule in the halide family, concentrates in the pineal gland.

The pineal gland is of course associated with the third eye.

When we supplement with iodine, the body excretes harmful halides (fluoride and bromide) which supports the health of the entire glandular system. I would strongly recommend anyone attempting to restore their physical vision consider iodine supplementation in conjunction with other vision therapies.
People who supplement with iodine often have experiences associated with third eye awakening, including more vivid dreams, emotional release, and psychic vision.
