If you are looking for a decent juicer, you will have to increase your budget. I always recommend The Greenstar.

Don't order from the States, it'll cost you a fortune in shipping and customs charges. I live in Ontario also. You won't find any good juicers in the retail stores. But you know where they sell them? In health-food stores! There's a small health-food store that i visit often, and they sell the "Champion" juicer, and another similar one. Those are pretty good. So call all the health-food stores near you and ask which ones they have. If you don't find any, get a copy of "ALIVE" magazine (most health-food stores have it), and check the advertising section to see where you can get juicers in Canada.

I don't know what one to get either. The Big Carrot in Toronto has a few and they do demos, as a matter of fact they are doing one on Monday, April 14th. I think Troy does the demos. Another place I found in TO was Vitality for Life, 65 George Street, 2nd floor--1-866-831-3255. Hope this helps.

Try www.realfoods.net. They ship to Canada. I don't know about customs etc. going to Canada
but you can find great prices on Juicers. Send them an email at realfoods@earthlink.net and see

I got the Juiceman ll the (mac-daddy) of the Juiceman series. I purchased mine off ebay from a wholesaler in the U.S. It works great. But you might even find a decent one at those "SEEN ON TV" stores in Fairview Mall. I saw one at Costco for quite some time...Good Luck!

I went to a website giving consumer ratings and comparisons, like that given by one of the other responses, made a short list of models I felt I could live with, and found one of my first choices on e-bay for under $100 (that included shipping.)

I just found this forum and thought I would give you my opinion. I have had both expensive and cheap juicers. The one I use all the time is the Juiceman Jr. Do not go by money alone. Especially if you are a first time juicer. The Juiceman Jr. is made by Salton. They always over-engineer their products. Take a look at the George Forman grills for example. You could drop a tank on one and it would still continue to work. Now, about the Juiceman Jr. It is easy to clean, has a full 1/4 horsepower motor and is a full 410 watts of power. The Lelane juicer is also 1/4 horsepower but only has (I think) 300 watts of power. The panasonics and other cheap juicers are even less. Around 250 watts of power. The Juiceman Jr. sells for around $50.00 US. I have a friend who has used his Juiceman Jr. for over three years(he juices everyday, sometimes twice a day) and has never had a problem with his machine nor has he replaced the cutter basket. It makes great juice and will last a lot longer than the "expensive machine nay-sayers would care to admit. Just my opinion!
