Odd - I saw quite a number of blacks at the Ron Paul rallies. I don't recall seeing any blatant racists nor seeing any blatant racist posts from Ron Paul supporters. I do recall a number of racist posts by some who opposed Obama and/or supported the designated loser in the Presidential election charade.
Sad to see someone who professes favoring love and has obviously sacrificed to help his fellow man spew so much hatred here. No wonder the number ID - I would not want my name associated with such discredited bias either. Then again, looking at all the conspiracies and what not I have had my ID associated with maybe I am being a bit hypocritical here?
Besides just being sad, though, it is puzzling as well to see such energy spent on an after the fact attack on someone who will never run for President again. Why not spend the time on something that really should matter - like finding out if the guy he voted for is even eligible to be President in the first place. Or questioning why, instead of "change", his candidate's appointments more and more look like the same old corporatism sell out.

Call me delusional or a troll for publishing Ron Paul's Newsletters but I can do nothing else.
No need to Rudi, your posts speak for themselves.
The reason you "can do nothing else" is because nowhere in Ron Paul's 20 year history in public service will you find racist remarks attributed to any speeches, interviews or debates. Neither will you find any major political figure or any major black figure who considers Ron Paul a racist.
Why do you suppose that the very large majority of comments, including those from blacks, hispanics, gays and liberals denounced the article in The New Republic you seem so enamored of?

I certainly don't agree with most of what was quoted from the Ron Paul newsletters and I agree that it was a mistake for Ron Paul to have not exercised better control and/or judgement. He has accepted moral responsibility for the articles and has denounced them and, again, nowhere do you see an major figures denouncing him for as a racist.
Regardless of what was in the newsletters, what he has advocated and his agenda for over a decade and a half have been about upholding the constitution, fiscal responsibility, more freedoms as our forefathers intended and less government intervention. Nowhere has racial discrimination been a featured or even implied part of what Ron Paul has advocated.
So how about moving on and finding another issue that really matters, Rudi. You are totally tripped out on this one, even to the point of going back and replying to posts made in January and now labelling me a troll. Not the Rudi I thought we knew. Did the Grinch steal your Christmas or what?

I understand your being upset over the newsletter articles and even share it. I do not think they reflect Ron Paul's views today and likely are a distortion of his views at any point in time, They did go out though, he has denounced them, accepted the blame, and moved on. Most people seem ready to give him the benefit of the doubt, including myself.
Voting against extending the civil rights legislation on constitutional grounds is not the same as wanting to turn back the clock on racism and discrimination and I cannot see anyone ever being in a position or having the support to do that.
Like I said, Ron Paul is never going to be president and his current agenda has nothing to do with race and everything to do with a return of our lost freedoms, a return to upholding our Constitution, fiscal responsibility and ending our meddling imperialism. He is also the best supporter of health freedom in congress that I know of. For those reasons, and the fact that he is one of the few major political figures I do not believe is controlled by the NWO elite, I support Ron Paul even though the articles are a disappointment.
Peace,
