ive taken adrenal glandulars for about 8 months on and off and then 2 months continuous....will this cause my adrenals to shut down?

im off of them now when i read they can make the adrenals stop functioning or shrink/??...if i get an ultrasound will this show up? and my cycle has stopped so does this mean that the glandulars caused my adrenals to stop working now?
