High on Water
I had no idea you collected these. I don't buy stuff like this for my daughter (she loves Barbies - I got her a "regular" one a coupla years back to play with).
But, she DID get the personal collection of a friend of OURS. They moved, and Karen (yep, I have TWO friends/acquaintances who share my name) couldn't keep everything, and she wanted my daughter to have her collection.
She received no less than 21 dolls in their original-never-opened boxes! Nineteen of them are barbies in Native costumes from other lands, and she also received a Ken and Barbie in Star Trek clothing. (The original ST, NOT "the next generation").
Hubby built her two shelves for her room, and painted them pink, (lol, she LOVES them!) as we told her the collection could be worth more than a thousand bucks and we "suggested" to her that she really shouldn't "play" with them...even though Karen told her she could. She loves her display, and it keeps the dolls from her ADD and ADHD friends. (Those are who she attracts - LOL!)
She doesn't play with the dolls, either...they're gorgeous, btw.
(Whew!)
