Well it's been 22 days since I had the Mirena removed. I posted 2 weeks ago about how I got sick with bronchitis the day after I got it removed. During this time, I also had my first period since having it removed. I bled a bit more than normal, but nothing compared to when the bleeding right after the removal. I am still sick. The bronchitis seemed to be clearing up, but then it seemed to come back. I now have signs of strep throat and/or the flu. I was not sick like this before the Mirena. It seems that somehow this thing did something to my immune system. I should not be getting sick this often. This is also a concern to me because I have a heart condition. This is so frustrating. I thought that I'd be feeling some form of relief by now, but that's not happening.
