9. Wal-Mart now sells more food than any other store in the world.
10. Wal-Mart has approx 3,900 stores in the USA of which 1,906 are SuperCenters. That is 1,000 more than it had 5 years ago.
11. This year, 7.2 billion purchases will occur at Wal-Mart stores. (Earth's population is approximately 6.5 billion.)
12. 90% of all Americans live within 15 miles of a Wal-Mart

This is a reply to # 1,312,444I love Walmart. They have a great system. At the door, someone is welcoming you and bringing you a cart with a smile. To the left is a restaurant filled with goodies. Then you pass by the cotton candy and popcorn concessions. Kids are running to them quickly. They have thought of every conception known to man from the lowest priced pharmacy to the toy department. My mom lives and breathes there. Yes they have many violations of humans there but I am sorry people will flock to the cheapest place in town and forget the newspaper hype. When we as a poor nation need help, there will always be a Walmart.

`give me a break. We are poor because of credit card debt, buying above our means and the govt not stepping in to help sooner. Go to a flea market and they are flocking to sell you whatever you want at any price just to bring you in. Walmart, yeah they are huge but so is many more. Lord, look at the airlines. Are you going to quit flying. Are you going to quit buying milk, naw. Sorry for me I have to shop where I get the best price. Figure it out guys you say twenty cents on 15 items x 52 weeks a year. Enough to buy a case of oranges Right. Ethics plenty but no money. Take it from a poor person, I have to swallow my pride some times and just go where I can shop in happiness. My mom just is so happy there. She is 77 lives in New Mexico has no money, eats tomatoes many times in the month because she is broke, is alone has no one close and by God, if Walmart makes her happy. This is a reply to # 1,312,581Do your research. I'm not trying to tell you not to shop at walmart. all i'm saying is walmart has a BIG part of why we are poor. You need to research it little bit to understand why it's that way, but it is that way.
