Hi jgrobinet:)
Some of ur symptoms are very familiar to me, to my present condition. I will talk mainly about myself now coz I do not want u to think I am giving u any diagnosis of my own. And if u have the same thing then u just can use the info I am about to give:)
I have an eating disorder (ED) and for the past 10 years of my life I have been really addicted to
Sugar (but I am dealing with it now):)
If u are addicted to sugars as well then candida symptoms: abdominal gas, headaches, migraines, excessive fatigue, cravings for alcohol, anxiety, vaginitis, rectal itching, cravings for sweets, inability to think clearly or concentrate, hyperactivity, mood swings, diarrhea, constipation, hyperactivity, itching, acne, eczema, depression, sinus inflammation, pre-menstrual syndrome, dizziness, poor memory, persistent cough, earaches, low sex drive, muscle weakness, irritability, learning difficulties, sensitivity to fragrances and/or other chemicals, cognitive impairment, thrush, athletes foot, sore throat, indigestion, acid reflux.
I am not saying a person should have all of them but some definitely.
If u have it then look for candida diet links. Main thing is to change ur eating habits first of all. And if u dont then the symptoms could be worse with time.
Here is one of them -

Also take into consideration to take not refined (pref organic) coconut oil on a daily basis. U can start gradually and eventually reach 3 and a half (at least) TBL spoons a day or u can start to take it straight away. Be ready to face a die off effect of candida (if u have it). Also taking coconut oil on a daily basis (it is great to take it even on an empty stomach) will give u an energy and improve ur digestion. I also read somewhere that taking coconut oil on empty stomach can reduce anxiety from ur mind. As soon as u feel better then u can reduce the amounts to take but definitely u will benefit from taking in long term even with less amounts.
Also if u have
Sugar problem then think of including in ur meals Chromium containing products (google for more info) like Romanian lettuce (!), tomatoes, onion, potatoes, apples.
I DO NOT believe in taking medications. Never believed and never will. They bring u more harm than good. I know I will cure my condition but using natural ways - healthy (in my case right combining of food - google it) eating, exercise, doing deep breath ins/ out in fresh air (good for brain - good for body), BELIEVING that I will gain my health back.
I have many symptoms of ADHD as well. But I DO think my bad eating habits mainly coursed it. Also I lived for about 25 years in the ares with NOT(!) good ecology (I am 33 now) and (I guess) my genetic roots also took its toll on my condition (in my past generation + my uncle and father were alcoholics). I guess it was a bunch of everything. But I will sort this out.
I believe in Chinese medicine and their herbs. Here is some (Caffeine free) herbal stimulants (for ADHD) I am going to look for when I am in Glasgow:
Ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba)- these leaves are remarkable for their ability of their ginkgolide and flavone glycoside-containing extracts to increase local blood flow to brain, bringing greater oxygenation to the tissues, while acting as a neural antoixidant. Ginkgo also improves brain glucose metabolism, and positively affects levels of amine neurotransmitter substances in the brain. These benefits become more pronounced after prolonged use.
Brahmi (Bacopa monniera)- this Ayurvedic herb has a long history of use as a cognitive enhancer. Research shows that it the protects brain from free radical damage even better than the cognitive-enhancing drug deprenyl (Battacharya), while stimulating improved learning and cognitive function (Kidd) (...)

Also bare in ur mind to take GOOD quality supplements to maintain ur precious health. Though do not overload ur system with all kind of it. Here is some info:
1) Neurozan (for brain and nervous system health),
2) Vitamin C (as MAGNESIUM Ascorbate - powder) - with ADHD, if I am not mistaken, it is recommended to take it DAILY 1/3 teaspoons minimum (my product is from Lamberts)
I have ordered several products from Iherb.com (NOW products are high quality ones) -
Vitamin D3 (at 2000iu's per day) - NOW product, Vitamin A at 10,000 iu's per day from purified fish sources (a Natures Way product).
If u want to get rid of heavy metals from ur body from that website u could order Chlorella (green food powder). This is NOW product and u can order it from Iherb.com:) Search for more info about this one. I was imprssed what it does for ur health!
I am also adding to my fresh juices Barley grass (NOW, Iherb.com). Simply IMPRESSIVE. Read what this green (organic) powder can do for u (google it)!:))
Hope it all helps. If u want to ask something else plz do not hesitate to contact me:)
Be WELL:)
