Hi,
This question involves combining Vitamins and a Pharmaceutical. I'm interested in getting back onto Paxil (paroxetine; an SSRI antidepressant). Over the past year, I have been seeing a Naturopath and (unfortunately) I can no longer afford the cost of seeing him. I suffer from Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and quite possibly a lesser known condition called Pyroluria.
My first question: is there a Vitamin/Supplement combination that will make Paxil titration (i.e., the process of increasing the dosage gradually) much easier? A few years ago, I was on 80 mg and that virtually eliminated all my symptoms. Given that my Anxiety is 'severe', I require very high dosages. However, the titration process causes a massive increase in anxiety, even when done is small increments. This is why I'm looking to Vitamins/Supplements to ease the pain.
Secondly, in the case where there is no Vitamin/Supplement to ease an upward titration, I would be strongly tempted to use a benzodiazepine (like clonazepam) for titration. The only problem is that I cannot stay on the benzo indefinitely. Getting off a benzodiazepine is hell for anybody with an anxiety disorder. Is there a Vitamin/Supplement combination to help ease a benzo withdrawal?
Thank-you!
