Hi all,
I've had colitis for 7 years and was recently told by a friend of a friend who had cured herself that candida was the root of the problem, and eliminating it would eliminate the colitis symptoms. I was wary of this at first as I've heard "this will cure you" so mnay times, but after some promising initial results I've convinced getting rid of the candida is a good idea.
So. Two months ago I had been taking threelac for a month already while eating a normal diet, and decided to try an anti-candida diet after the threelac's effectiveness impressed me so much. I wanted to kill it off as quickly as possible and didn't really care about die-off etc so I went onto the most extreme anti candida diet I could think of-no carbs or
Sugar at all, excepting the rare exceptions that don't aid candida.
Which left me with meat, fish, eggs, green tea and xylitol. Which is all I've been eating for the last 2 months.
I have also been taking:
Threelac, for the month prior too.
Pau D'arco capsules
Aerobic oxygen
Samento
Coral calcium
Olive leaf extract
Golden seal Formula E
Bayberry
Bio-kult (probiotic)
Bio-acidophilus (probiotic)
Floraguard
Caprylic acid
Candigest plus
And quite a lot of homemade
Colloidal Silver .
So with that said, I have some questions:
What else can I do to eliminate the candida? Few things would be too drastic for me afetr 7 years of colitis.
I am intending on changing my diet in a couple of weeks to a less drastic one as I don't think it's a good idea to stay on an essentially carniverous diet for more than a few months. However, I have a big problem-due to my colitis I don't tolerate insoluble fiber well. This means vegetables and whole grains are a problem-I always had white rice before. Should I have vegetables and so on anyway despite the effect on my colitis, or should I stick with the meat?
I have obtained six 150mg capsules of fluconazole, and am intending on taking them as directed, on alternate days for 12 days. When should I take them, as soon as possible or after going on the new diet for a while?
If there anything else anyone recommends I do to help accelerate this process?
Thanks in advance.
