According to Dr. Wong, high estrogen is a major factor behind balding because the body easily converts estrogen into DHT--the hairloss hormone. Dr. Wong says the following foods should be eliminated from your diet due to high estrogen levels.
SOY - soybeans are very very high in estrogen
Flax - same, high in estrogen
Licorice (the herb)

I also recently read something--I think it was by Dr. Mercola, that coffee increases estrogen levels (it's the caffiene I believe) so we should all be drinking organic decaf instead.
I have heard too much Vitamin A over time can cause a hair loss situation. I would shoot not to get any more that the RDA, or take the beta carotene form where your body will only convert the proper amount into Vit A and expel the rest.
