I have read this article before and I feel it is quite 'preposterous'!!!. They say everything was fine with that malay guy and hence say ec would resolve on its own. They have failed to find the cause. If everything was fine then we won't have ec. Its a clear indication that something is terribly wrong inside. It can be the immune system or as Chris pointed out in that article, heated stomach and spleen causing lungs to dry up as a result it is showing on th lips.

It is funny when they mention Munchausen syndrome as a possibility, meaning the guy did this intentionally to receive attention. Ha ha. I wish.

Towards the end they talk about failed treatments, including anti-fungal and keratinolytic agents. I think they meant or it's another word for keratolytic agents, of which salicylic acid and urea are included.

I think everyone has Depression related to this, but anti-depressants can have serious side effects and should not be taken lightly of course.
